Next Big Thing Tour
Coeur d'Alene-based singer songwriter Mel Dalton, along with Columbia Plateau Records and CapCity Entertainment, has announced her “Next Big Thing” tour to Western Washington in April 2024. A songwriter and self-taught guitarist, Dalton released her first commercial solo EP “Ramblings and Recollections” in summer 2023 and regularly tours in the area. This trip will include 10 dates including appearances in Seattle, Olympia, and Leavenworth.
As a founding member of the PNW band Northwest Chill for 9 years and a previous Kitsap County resident, Dalton has played stages and festivals all over the Puget sound area including Bite of Seattle and Taste of Tacoma. Since moving to north Idaho in 2019 she has broken out as a solo Americana artist. Expect rootsy and adventurous original songs, interspersed with a refreshing mix of covers that are familiar but not overplayed.
“Going out on tour is always such an adventure! I'm excited to get on the road again, make new friends, and introduce folks to these songs that have been burning holes in my heart.”
Representing Columbia Plateau Records, Rusty Jackson said, “Mel’s music feels like home, no matter where you’re from. She has a gift for impressing you while making it look effortless, and we’re thrilled to support her as she shares that gift with listeners everywhere.” Founded in 2021, Columbia Plateau Records uses the latest technology to build a network of artists, writers, resources and fans. CPR brings the unique sound of the Pacific and Inland Northwest to market throughout Washington, Idaho, and Oregon, and all over the world.
